Silver Blackthorn has committed treason.

She is dangerous.

Do NOT approach her.

A large reward is on offer.

Report any sightings to your nearest Kingsman.

Long live the King.

Silver Blackthorn is on the run.

She fled Windsor Castle with eleven other teenagers, taking with her something far more valuable than even she realises: knowledge.

With the entire country searching for the missing Offerings, Silver must keep them all from the vicious clutches of King Victor and the Minister Prime. Until now, no one has escaped the king and lived to tell the tale. Or have they?

With expectations weighing heavily on the girl with the silver streak in her hair, will she ever find her way home?

Thank you to Pan MacMillan for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review

Silver has escaped the horrors of Windsor Castle, she has fled from King Victor and the Minister Prime and their reign of terror, she is now Public Enemy #1

Along with eleven other teenagers including Imrin, Jela and Faith they try and keep out of the way of the Kingsmen who are tasked with finding them.

As they struggle to keep safe and fed they come across others on the road, believing they have been the only ones to escape the castle they discover that someone else has lived to tell the tale.

That someone has been in contact from his underground hideout with other groups who want to bring the government to its knees, will Silver help, they need someone who is good with technology to infiltrate the towers where the government reside, Silver fits the bill, will she help?

Can she stop the King and Minister Prime from their horrible reign, can she stop countless other youngsters being subjected to the warped games she has experienced?

Renegade is a thrilling read, straight away we are thrown in to Silver and her fellow escapees bid to be free, the atmosphere of the book is dark and perfectly so, it feels oppressive.

I have heard comparisons of this series to the Hunger Games which is off course a great compliment but this book is a great read on its own merits.

A couple of notable mentions are the map (I love a map!) in the back cover, all good books have maps and a fun quiz at the end to see if you are an elite or maybe you a trog?!

Kerry once more shows that a man can do justice to writing a female character and in creating Silver he has created a fierce yet kind and loyal woman, I look forward to reading book 3.
