The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
I'm gonna recap my week and give you an idea of what I have coming up plus anything else newsworthy!
My week has involved lots of the above, eating, eating like my freezer has defrosted and I have to save my food, this week I am hungry.
Thankfully hunger is the worst of my problems this week, there has been no drama whatsoever and I am pleased.
So I went shopping in lieu of drama and treated myself to some geeky delights...
My fellow Browncoats will know who this manly man is but if you don't he is Jayne Cobb, the coolest badass from the wonderful show Firefly.
This one I love too, I seem to have a thing for slogan t-shirts at the minute and this one celebrates my love for the Alien Anthology by advertising the despicable corporation who had others ideas for those scary xenomorphs. It came from Truffle Shuffle if anyone is interested, they are like the British version of Hot Topic (almost but not quite).
I hope everyone is healthy and happy, have a lovely week!!
I'm hoping to crack on with getting more reviews done but I do have this coming up
I have done lots of browsing but spent more time doing that than remembering to note down ones I want to share!

Now this is a book and a half, I have read about four different versions of it over the past five years but it's arrival can only mean one thing - Let the 2016 planning commence!!

I have received physical and e-copies of some fab books this week, thank you to all the publishers for sending them! Also some of them are my own purchases, the pics link to Goodreads for you to find out more!
Let me know if you have read any of them!
Looks like you had a good week! Geeky delights are good... :)
ReplyDeleteA Geek Girls' and Diner both look good, like a lot of fun. Have a fabulous week!
Geeky delights are the best!!! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteLmao! That's kind of my days here. I see food, I eat them. Lol.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your books!
Today is one of those days too!!
DeleteBrowncoats unite! The House on Seventh Street looks interesting. So glad your week was drama free. Hope this week sees you full and happy
ReplyDeleteYay fellow Browncoat!! No power in the verse can stop us!!
DeleteI LOVED Firefly (and Serenity). It's one of my comfort shows that I can watch again and again!
ReplyDeleteI loved the episode where Jayne's hometown had thought he was a hero and honoured him with a statue and named it after him etc...
I am the same, I can happily watch it over and over again, it never ages.
DeleteThe one with Jayne as a hero is so funny, that statue is just brilliant!!
Nice shopping! And nice lot of incoming books, I haven't read any of them but hope they are great reads for you.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathryn, I am looking forward to reading them!
DeleteOh my gosh, a Jayne Cobb funko. I'm so jealous, haha. He's my fav from Firefly <3
ReplyDeleteEmbers has such a pretty cover.
He is the best!!
DeleteI'm definitely a book first, film later kind of person! Usually the film ends up being changed so much that I like to see how the author saw the story first. Jeez I have so many boxes in my cupboards full of old VHS tapes with films and TV progs to get through as well as all my books-feeling a little bit overwhelmed at the thought of catching up! Guess it will be a busy winter!
ReplyDeleteI just try not to think about what I have to catch up on, I had to get rid of all my old VHS tapes as we no longer had a video, I think one day my DVD's will go that way too but today is not that day!!
DeleteI tried to answer your post on blogging, but there's a cat in front of my screen and I hope the com was sent, I can't see much ! *munches on wasabi crisps* Have a great week-end !
ReplyDeleteCats are a delightful menace, the kitten at work loves to chase my mouse on the screen!!
DeleteA quiet week with no complications, sounds great to me. Happy reading, Heather.

It was bliss!!
DeleteSounded like a nice dramafree week. I have one of thsoe weeks sometimes as well, where it seems I have more hunger than normal. I plan to watch Firefly eventually, but haven't done so yet. Everyone seems to love that show. That figure is pretty cool! Nice book haul you got this week, I hope you'll enjoy them all and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteFirefly is great, it never ages and I don't think there was a single boring episode of it!
DeleteI saw Mindy Kaing at BEA with Diane KEaton, Charlaine Harris and Jeffrey Eugenides a few years ago. She emceed the show and did a stand up as an intro. She was so funny. I had no idea who she was so when I saw her later I stopped and told her she did a great job.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant, that is an awesome selection of people to see, I would love to see her!
Delete"eating, eating like my freezer has defrosted and I have to save my food" lol lol Sounds like me most of the time :)
ReplyDeleteNo-drama-week is always good! glad to hear that. Hope you enjoyed shopping. I like the t-shirt! I love that you are a sci-fi gamer geek too :)
I loved your review of the Network series by Katie Cross. Left a comment but it is not there :(
Yes this is how I would define "Justin Cronin's The Passage" Epic and Heavy (Literally). I have to go back to it. Have too many books to read now and it is sooo long :)
I am a total sci-fi gamer geek!!! I had to read The Passage in bits, hope to read The Twelve next.
DeleteI always love your Tina Fey GIFs/pictures. Love her. Glad it was a drama free week and yay for geeky delights! Enjoy all your new books!!
ReplyDeleteTina Fey is the best!
DeleteYour books are new to me, but I am intrigued by the title and cover of The House on Seventh Street.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new week, and thanks for visiting my blog.
It was the cover and title that pulled me in to, I think it will be an interesting read.
DeleteEmbers is also a book I got this week on my Kindle! Drama free weeks which are relaxing are always the best ^^
ReplyDeleteThey are totally the best!
DeleteWhat a fun shopping trip! I love Jayne! And I can't count how many times we've watched Firefly though I didn't love the Serenity movie. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteOh no! I loved the Serenity movie!!! I love Jayne he is such a manly man!!!
DeleteDiner Knock Out looks really good. I need to catch up on that series.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week!
It looks fun!
DeleteThe see food diet is my diet too! :D A lack of drama is always good. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy reading and have a good week!
It is a great diet!!!
DeleteAhh, yay for avoiding drama. Shopping is always more fun anyway. Unless you spend all your money, then that sucks. ;) Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteShopping is the best, I've been saving my pennies just in case!
DeleteI am all for eating and no drama! You know, I live in the US and I have never been to Disneyland, or Disney World. My parents took my sister three times after I moved out of the house. I think we know who their favorite is. LOL. I agree with your funny meme, too. Have a wonderful week. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is awful, I'd be telling them I want a trip or else! If I lived in Florida I'd have to get one of those yearly passes so I could every week, I love it!
DeleteYAY for no drama! That is always a good week! I know the feelings about wanting to eat ALL the things though- it can be a struggle! AWW Disney World! I am only 100% jealous ;) I haven't read any of the books you got this week, but they look good, and I hope you enjoy them! The Futurama meme made me chuckle too- it is SO true! Hope you have a fabulous week!
ReplyDeleteShannon @ It Starts At Midnight
It is an enjoyable struggle!!! I have quite a long countdown till WDW bit I can't wait!
DeleteHi Heather!
ReplyDeleteA Geek Girls Guide to Murder sounds really good! Definitely something different ;) I may have use for it... mwahahaha! *cough* ahem, anyway! You're going to Disneyland then yeah? Sounds awesome!! So exciting! I find travel guide books can be a bit overwhelming. I'm constantly taking notes from them and researching them more online and... it just gets a bit overwhelming, lol. Disneyland should be amazing though! :D Have fun with the planning!
Have a great week,
Amy x
It was brilliant, review shortly, it is well worth reading!!
DeleteDisneyworld is brilliant, we can't wait to go and are counting the days!
It sounds like you had a fantastic week, Heather, I hope this week will be drama-free as well :)
ReplyDeleteYour new books look really good, too!
