The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
I'm gonna recap my week and give you an idea of what I have coming up plus anything else newsworthy!
Hey guys, I hope you have all had a good week and OMG it is August!
You will all be glad to know this week has mostly been a disaster free zone!

You will all be glad to know this week has mostly been a disaster free zone!
On Monday I was like
I had made myself so pissy last week with the whole flat tyre incident I sucked it up and got on with it then two things happened, the first was I had three unexpected days holiday which was a bonus. The second thing was car related again, this could be technical so bear with me, I had a change of tyre and alloy last week and in the alloy is some teensy weensy sensor.
Because of the teensy weensy sensor not being there (because the "grown ups" I trusted to change the tyre and alloy in the first place knew nothing about it) every time my car started it went beep, not a nice beep, a WTF have you done to me kinda beep.
So I had to drive the car to the dealer in our local city 30 miles away, I've never driven in to the city yet, my commute is mainly rural so I was excited and nervous but my wonderful dad invited himself along (mainly for a bacon roll) and I did it, he kept me right, or rather left as that was the lane I had to be in.
Anyway tyre is now sorted, my husband also got me to change a tyre, my god it is hard going, it was like the world's most craziest exercise but I did it and all is well.
The rest of the week was spent vegetating, watching tv with the kids, coffee with the girls and reading. Today we went to a local agricultural show which was excellent, lots of incredible animals including a bull which must have been the same size as a rhino.
In blog news, I read a lot and got a couple of reviews under my belt, was nominated for a lovely Sisterhood of the World blogger award by the lovely Amy at a Novel Start and I hit
60000 views of which 59000 is me rechecking my posts!!!!! (not really, honest!).
I started a new feature called Tech Talk where I am going to blog about hints and tips for mainly the blogspot platform and I am considering starting, in preparation for my September 2016 jolly to Walt Disney World, a Disney weekly planning post - but I have quite sorted that out yet.
Hope you all have a lovely week ahead!

I'm kinda quiet, some reviews and a blog tour.
I have received physical and e-copies of some fab books this week, thank you to all the publishers for sending them!
Purchased Cinder, Throne of Glass and The School for Good and Evil from Amazon as a Pay Day treat!
The long way to a small angry planet I received from the lovely guys at Bookbridgr (Hodder and Stoughton)
Let me know if you have read any of them!
Happy Sunday!
I love the Monty Python Funko's! Now we need a Celaena one! :)
ReplyDeleteMissie @ A Flurry of Ponderings
The possibilities are endless with Funko's!
DeleteYou got some really cool books! Sounds like a busy week for you. :)
ReplyDeleteVery, lots of reading done which was good!
DeleteGreat Pile! Love the cover of Night Clock. I'm a big fan of Guillermo del Toro (as a Director) but the Strain series was a little disappointing. Maybe the books are much better. Abandon sounds great! a review copy of throne of glass! I'm jealous! Enjoy your books :) hope you visit me!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.danielaark.com/what-a-week-18-4-weeks-5k-views/
I haven't seen The Strain tv show, will try the book first and go from there.
DeleteThrone of Glass was an Amazon purchase! I wan't to see what all the fuss is about!
Have a great week!
Glad the tire issues are sorted, and kudos to your hubby. My dad made sure all of us girls knew how to change a tire and my husband taught all of our kids. It does come in handy. I love Monty Python!
ReplyDeleteMonty Python are the best! Fingers crossed no more tyre issues!
DeleteGlad this week was better! You had some good posts this week. I've been on Netflix a lot, tried Arrow and now I'm watching as much
ReplyDeleteI've been wondering about Schoo for Good and Evil, I like the sound of that one.
I hadn't actually heard of the School for Good and Evil till a couple of weeks ago when I saw the third book on another blog, I just loved the cover so had to get a copy!
DeleteI don't recognise any of your new books, but they look great. I also love the BBT Lego!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm glad you got some vege time! (And you'll definitely be prepared for that next flat tyre. You may never ever get one again!!!!)
Fingers crossed it never happens but at least I am prepared!!!
DeleteI wish I had a room for lego, like the basement in the lego movie!!
There are Monty Python Funkos!! I need them all!! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI need them toooooo!!
DeleteOh the tyre episode sounds fun - not. I could never change a tyre. It's why I belong to the AA to call them out if it happens. I never have, but yes to quite a few flat batteries! Looks like a nice pile of books to read. Off to check out a few of your last week posts.
ReplyDeleteMy husband told me after all this happened that not only do we have AA cover, we have breakdown cover with our bank account too, typical!
DeleteAmy nominated me for the blog award too and you were one of the ten I planned to pass it on to but when I looked at Amy's list I saw she had beaten me to it! ARRGGHH! Three on her list were on mine so I had to find alternatives! Doing the questions was certainly better fun! Have a good reading week!
ReplyDeleteI've still to do mine, I don't know if I have ten either to pass it on too, will have a think!
Deleteha ha, sorry Chuckles! xD
DeleteI'm glad you got your car trouble sorted out, Heather. And good for you on changing your tyre, that is hard work indeed!
ReplyDeleteYour new books look great, I hope you'll enjoy each and every one of them.
Have a fantastic week and happy reading :)
Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookviews
It was a major workout!! Thanks Lexxie!
DeleteOMG Big Bang Theory Legos! How funny is that! I like the covers of the books for the tour you are doing.
ReplyDeleteI would never be able to change a tire. I can't even oven the bonnet/hood of my can.
Ha! I can open the bonnet but it does have a nice easy lever thing for me to pull, cars are complicated!!!
DeleteI’m glad your car problems have been sorted out. And, Big Bang Theory Legos! I need those! I love that show.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
They look so cool!!
DeleteThe Big Bang Theory Legos look amazing! I've never changed a tire and am really hoping I never have too as it looks a bit scary. Glad you made it to the car place. Unfamiliar city driving can be a bit stressful!
ReplyDeleteI hoping I never have to again either, too much stress!
DeleteGlad to hear you got your tyre fixed! I have zero knowledge of cars, so it sounds pretty impressive to me how you managed to change it after your husband showed you how. I love Lego, even though I never watched the big bang theory, it looks like a fun set!
ReplyDeleteThe cover for The long way to a small angry planet is so pretty! I hope it's as good as it looks. I hope you have a great week!
I love lego too, my kids have tons so I end up accidentally playing with it!
DeleteAngry planet is just beautiful, not started it yet but have heard so many good things!
You changed your own tire?!? Wow! I've tried, but the shop puts the bolts on so tight, I can't even budge them. That's pretty awesome!
ReplyDeleteThere was a lot of swearing whilst those bolts came off!
DeleteAmazing haul of books! Can't wait to read about them here! Glad to see that all the car troubles were sorted ;) Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sherry!
DeleteI'm glad your car troubles worked out - and that you've learned how to change a tire! (Excuse me, tyre. I love that spelling. You spell things better on your side of the pond. Grey, honour, colour - so much more interesting than gray, honor, color.) Anyway, now that you know how, hopefully you'll never have to actually do it... but it's reassuring to know you can if you need to. My dad made me learn when I was in college.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific week and enjoy all those lovely books!
I know US/UK spelling differences are crazy, cheque is check etc!
DeleteFingers crossed I never ever have to do it again!
I'm glad to see that everything worked out for the best with your car. You got a lot of great books I see! I will be back to see those reviews. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteSunday Post
Thanks for stopping by!!
DeleteYAY! You've changed a tire (yankee spelling!) - I am so freakin' proud of you!!! And holy book haul, I'm not even going to comment because I'm looking at your Pinterest pins and you are soooo cool for pinning Regular Show!!! I bow to your greatness (tee, hee)
ReplyDeleteI am freakin' proud of me too!!!
DeleteI do get carried away with Pinterest but I had to do Regular Show, it is my most watched tv show at the moment, I love it!!!!
Oh, I hate car troubles! Glad you got them sorted....and what a haul! Enjoy them all, and thanks for visiting my blog. I am curious about New York for Beginners.
ReplyDeleteNew York for Beginners does look good, I'm looking forward to it!
DeleteOh man, I know your car troubles aren't funny, but your updates about it is sure entertaining. :D Great books, especially Throne of Glass and The Strain. Have a great week!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Christy!
DeleteOmg Heather! You seem to be really unlucky with cars huh? I like how you say "not a nice beep, it's a nasty wtf you doing kinda beep" lol. I totally know the feeling. Well, not from driving, but from being a pedestrian :P
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome in reference to the award :) don't worry if you can't get 10 people, as I said to Chuckles I think 10 is a little excessive. I think 5 would be a lot more realistic! But you know what these people are like who create the awards *shrugs*
Have a great week, I hope stuff improves on the car front!
Amy x
I wish I was a pedestrian sometimes but I have 22 miles to get to work so bit of a long walk!!! I do love my car and it loves me but the road hates us!
DeleteI'm hoping to do my award post this week, having a good think about the answers!! xx
I am curious to know what you think of Throne of Glass! It is a really popular book which I have yet to read myself as well. When it comes to Cinder, I absolutely loved it! The entire series is wonderful, so I hope you enjoy them :)
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to read it soon, I don't think I have read a bad review of it yet, Cinder the same, they can do no wrong these series.
DeleteWhat an eventful week!
ReplyDeleteI love Disney! Are you hitting all the parks or just a few? Bring lots of sunblock and water!
All of the Disney parks! Love them! My suitcase is full of factor 50 for my Scottish skin!
DeleteI hate car issues, even if dealing with a tire, so I'm sure you're glad that's over! Great haul!! I hope you have a fabulous week and thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteTressa @ Wishful Endings
Car issues are a nightmare but this week all has been well thanks goodness!
