The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
I'm gonna recap my week and give you an idea of what I have coming up plus anything else newsworthy!

I can't believe it is Sunday Post time again, it has came around so quickly.
In real life the kids are settling in to being back at school and the dreaded homework has started so I am having to use my brain to help which is a trial and a half!
I have a day off on Monday as it is a public holiday here, well technically here in Scotland it isn't but my work takes it off and I am not going to argue with that.
In my blog world I have not posted much but I have a reason behind this, you may remember last week I talked about doing less blog tour/blitz/reveal stuff and how I was scaling right back (though I do have two excellent tour reviews this week). What I have been doing this week is reading lots and lots so I can up my reviews and get my tbr list down.
In fact tonight I managed to type out two and scheduled them for Monday and Tuesday, I feel freaking awesome!
Going back to the blog tour, I have booked one for January 2016 but this is one I am looking forward to doing, Little Brown approached me to be on the UK, JR Ward's Bourbon Kings tour so yes to that!
Today I also felt crazy good as Felicia Day favourited my tweet, I don't care it wasn't a retweet but I nearly wet myself with excitement, it came as finished her epic book!
I also bought books this week, for which I have no apologies for!
I have received physical and e-copies of some fab books this week, thank you to all the publishers for sending them! Also some of them are my own purchases, the pics link to Goodreads for you to find out more!
BOUGHT FROM AMAZON
KINDLE FREEBIES (MAY NOT BE ANYMORE!)
NETGALLEY HAUL
Let me know if you have read any of them!
Ahhh an extra day off is always nice, I hope you enjoy it Heather! I wish I lived in Scotland right now, just so I could have a long weekend hehe. When I first started blogging, I did a lot of book blitz/tours as well -- but I've basically stopped with those in the last year or so. I just couldn't keep up!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy all your new books, they all sound amazing!
I am glad it wasn't just me, you kind of run out of time to read your own books.
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
I know, this week flew by. I've been reading less only because a lot of the stuff I want isn't out yet! :(
ReplyDeleteYay for books,a week without at least one new one is no good. :) And enjoying the A to Z posts- those are fun.
Like the look of those new books... have a super week.
I ordered a lot of pre-order books this week, all of them 2016 releases, too long to wait!
DeleteThanks for stopping by Greg!
That is one thing I'm not missing about my son being in college now ... I'm off homework duty. Hopefully it doesn't get too bad for you. Yu got some great looking books, hope you enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to the college days!! As long as they don't take anything to fancy like advanced maths I'll be fine!
DeleteHave a great week!
Great to get heaps of reading accomplished and reviews done. I think a 2016 date with the next Bourbon Kings book is a great idea, good on you for being approached. 2016 fast approaching.
ReplyDeleteApproaching too fast! I need to buy a diary already!
DeleteHave a lovely week!
Nirvana looks good, but I am trying to be good, and haven't requested anything. I want to try and read some of the books I bought. I am very selective about tours and usually only do review stops for books I would have bought. Good luck cleaning and have a lovely week Heather!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kimba, I am trying to keep on top of my books I have bought too, maybe if I stopped buying them!!!
DeleteEnjoy your bank holiday Monday, they are the best! I love scheduling and I know if I didn't schedule then posts would never ever happen. And yay for being approached for a blog tour that makes you excited but really 2016! Now they are organised!
ReplyDeleteThey are very organised! I try and be good and schedule, I need to do it more!
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
Sounds like you had a good week, Heather, and congrats on scheduling some reviews for next week! I have scaled down on blogtours a lot, too, I feel like it's become too much in many ways, so I completely get where you're coming from. I would definitely have said yeas to the JR Ward tour, too, though ;)
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic week ahead and happy reading.
Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookviews
I just keep seeing the JR Ward book everywhere so it was a no brainer to say yes, I can't wait to read it!
DeleteHave a great week Lexxie!
I've got so many book reviews I need to write but I can't find the energy or motivation to do them right now. A nice night without coughing to catch up on sleep should help. Lets hope I get that tonight!!!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon Chuckles, fingers crossed for a good sleep!
DeleteWell done on catching up on some reading and reviewing. I've done a couple of blog tours lately but just as a participant and it hasn't been too bad, though I was disorganised for the last one and only sent my questions to the author the week of the interview! Oops. I think they understand we have other commitments!
ReplyDeleteLots of other commitments!! I just have so much to read and badly need to catch up!
DeleteEnjoy your day off!! I liked THE BOURBON KINGS so the UK tour will probably be fun. I wonder if Whiskey production there in Scotland is at all similar to how she describes Bourbon companies here.
ReplyDeleteI could do some "research", I have a distillery 5 minutes away from me!!
DeleteEnjoy your holiday, and have fun catching up on your reviews. I admire those who have custom domains and learn how to do all kinds of interesting things.
ReplyDeleteI do have my own Word Press domain for my website, but it's not self-hosted.
Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
There is a lot to learn, I just always curious to know how things work!
DeleteSounds like a good week! It really did fly by, didn't it?
ReplyDeleteFar too quickly!!!
DeleteCan't wait to read your thoughts on the Bourbon Kings. I've stumbled and stalled for the time being. Lol. Anyway, have a glorious reading/blogging week!
ReplyDeleteI have a long wait, January 2016 so long away!! Can't wait though!
DeleteHaving Monday off is AWESOME. I don't know what it is about Mondays specifically, but I mind much less when I have to go to work on Tuesday than on Monday! I can't even imagine having to do homework again. I didn't even do it as a child, I doubt I'd be any good at it as an adult. I supervised some younger kids in the afternoons when I was still in school, and even though they were just a couple of years below me, they suddenly had to follow completely different methods to solve their math equations. I could solve them, I just couldn't do it the way they were learning it (and mine was much simpler too). Weird stuff! I love when people you admire interact with you (in a good way) on social media. :) And my approach to buying books is generally fuck it too haha
ReplyDeleteI hate Mondays, I really do!
DeleteHomework sucks, I don't remember having as much when I was my kids age, though that was was a while ago!!
It doesn't happen very often but it is nice when someone awesome clicks that like button!
Yay for having a day off from work. I have next Monday (Sept. 7) off from work because of Labor Day here in the U.S. so that's exciting!!
ReplyDelete-Lauren
Yay for public holidays!!
DeleteI have an eARC of The Wanderers, but I haven't read it yet. Thank-you for the link to the drop down menu thing because I have been wanting to do that. I am so happy I am past those years of helping with math homework, ugh. Have a wonderful week. :)
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting the drop down menu too, now all I need to do is sit down and put it in to action!!!
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
yay for having a day off your work! Sounds like you had a good reading week, I like weeks like that, although my reading has been a bit slow lately. wow that's early in advance they contacted you for thet JR Ward tour.
ReplyDeleteI saw Nirvana on netgalley and I like the cover, but wasn't sure if the book would be for me. Guess I'll wait to read some reviews of it first. I hope you'll have a great week!
Thanks Lola! I'm the same some weeks it is hardly anything I read and other week I read lots.
DeleteNirvana does have a pretty cover, I hope the inside is as good!
You did mention wanting to change the blogging pattern and making it fewer promotions and more reviews, and it seems like you have been able to do so very well! I loved the posts gone up last week, and good on you for having achieved this much!
ReplyDeleteThanks my dear!
DeleteIt is hard to re-sort yourself but I think I am getting there!
