The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
I'm gonna recap my week and give you an idea of what I have coming up plus anything else newsworthy!

But where is Liz Lemon, she is taking a week off! Big Jack is here and considering my awesome new haircut (which is taking a bit of getting used to - in a good way) I thought it was appropriate!
Anyway how are you guys? First of all I am so sorry I didn't get round as many Sunday Posts and blog posts in general this week, time just got away from me.
I had great fun at the trade fair on Sunday, it was so nice going to the event as a visitor rather than an exhibitor as I have been in the past. Afterwards we did a spot of shopping in Glasgow city centre followed by a lovely Italian meal.
This week I have been doing lots of reading and I am loving it, plus I have got my NetGalley feedback up a whole 1 percent!!
I started a new weekly post all about Bizarre books that I feel need to be brought to the world's attention and there are loads so prepare to fill your TBR piles with some utter gems!
Oh and whilst I remember new Doctor Who - have we enjoyed the last two episodes? I love Peter Capaldi but I'm a little bit meh about it so far.
This week was also sad as the legend that is Jackie Collins passed away, she leaves behind a massive body of work which I am sure will be enjoyed by readers for years to come.
Have a great week everyone.
I have slacked but I can say there are a lot of good books out there and I need to read them now - you all need to stop writing your tempting reviews now!!
This is on British tv this week, it has a cracking cast including Rob Lowe and Megan Mulally, I can't wait!
I have received physical and e-copies of some fab books this week, thank you to all the publishers for sending them! Also, some of them are my own purchases, the pics link to Goodreads for you to find out more!
BOUGHT FROM AMAZON
NOTHING!!!!!!!!! (Well I did buy a Photoshop CS3 classroom book but that is for work!!)
KINDLE FREEBIES (MAY NOT BE ANYMORE!)
I AM SO GOOD, NOTHING!!!!
NETGALLEY HAUL
SENT BY PUBLISHER
Let me know if you have read any of them!
Am about to read your review of the 3rd WP book after this. I know what happens cos (as I mentioned in my blog) I read some reviews after I watched the TV series and some compared it to the books. The ending of the books sounds better quite frankly!!!
ReplyDeleteI've seen I am Malala around and feel like it's a book I should read but I really don't like non-fiction so feel very guilty I'm not even trying. Does that make sense?
I am not a huge non-fiction fan but I did want to try this.
DeleteThe sooner I see WP the better, how I picture the book will no doubt be very different to the show!
You had some good posts this week! Glad the trade show was good.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen Dr. Who (ducks)- can you believe it? Actually I have seen an episode or two, but not all the way through. I should jump in, I hear so many good things.
Murder-on-Sea looks good, and so does Great Zoo. I remember Kimba's review of that one (think it was Kimba) and it sounded interesting. Have a great week!
Dr Who, you either love it or hate it! I mostly like it!
DeleteMurder on sea is good, I am just finishing reading it today then I will try and finish the Great Zoo which is like Jurassic Park with dragons!
Have a good week Greg!
I only watched the first episode of Doctor Who, but I wasn't really invested in it. I'll probably watch the second one some time this week. Sleeping Giants has a pretty cover. :)
ReplyDeleteIt was a bit meh to be honest, I love Doctor Who but something was missing. I am so looking forward to reading Sleeping Giants, I have heard lots of good things about it!
DeleteI totally was wondering where Liz Lemon went! Glad you had fun at the fair!!! I am trying to get my NG % up as well. It is better than what it was but now it is just creeping up. Have a great week!!
ReplyDeleteShe will be back next week, Jack was more hair appropriate!!! If I get to 70 or 80% by the year 2020 I will be amazed!!
DeleteI heard MaLaLa on THE DAILY SHOW or Colbert and she was inspiring. So brave.
ReplyDeleteI think her book will an inspirational read, I look forward to reading it soon.
DeleteI'm up to my eyeballs in new purchases from Amazon sales! I'm uploading them gradually each week to keep the tbr around 500 instead of uploading them all at once and scaring myself! I'm trying not to think when I'll get to reading them all, plus I'm having to read like a nutter to keep taking books off the tbr to break even...stressful...!!!
ReplyDeleteI just don't think about when I'll read them, I just know it will be one day, maybe not tomorrow, maybe not this year either!!!
DeleteI really want want to read Malala's memoir. I did miss Liz this week, but Jack is good for 2nd best.
ReplyDeleteArgh! Jack was the better fit for the hair, Liz was out having a cheesy blaster!! Malala memoir is going to be an amazing read!
DeleteSounds like we're all feeling the rush! Congrats on the NetGalley front! That's fantastic news! Every % counts! And I hope you enjoy your new hairstyle, I like to think a new style brings out a more confident personality.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week,
Amy x
It totally counts you are right! I don't know about confidence but I am forever running my hands through it!!
DeleteI only need to up my netgalley percentage with one more percent to hit the 70%, which has been my goal for awhile, but I am submitting feedback for one and then requesting a new one, so I keep hanging around the 69%. I am happy to hear the fair was fun! I hope you have a great week!
ReplyDelete69% is a huge deal, well done for getting that far - I have miles to go!
DeleteThanks for stopping by Lola!
I'm with you, I think reading a book for the 5th time is awesome too! And well done on getting that NG ratio up, that always feels good to see it heading in the right direction :D
ReplyDeleteIt is the best because it did go down after a rather naughty pile of downloads!!
DeleteI've heard a lot of good things about The Great Zoo of China but I'm still not sure if it's something I'll get on with or not. I might borrow it from the library and give it a go.
ReplyDeleteIt is actually really good so far, like Jurassic Park with dragons! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteSo many books to be read NOW! I often wish I was magical and could do it! I've actually never read a Jackie Collins book but was still sad to see her go when I heard about it.
ReplyDeleteMagical would be wonderful, maybe an extra 24 hours in the day!!
DeleteIt's amazing how the week can get away from ya. Yay for the new haircut! I'm in need of one at the moment.
ReplyDeleteThis week is doing the same!! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteGlad you had fun at the trade show. Ahh, I love the first episode of Doctor Who this season, but the second was a little more ... meh. When Missy put you-know-who in the you-know-what, all I kept thinking about was the first episode when the Doctor first met you-know-who.lol. That was totally clear, right? I didn't want to put spoilers in your comments. :D
ReplyDeleteTotally clear!!!! The next episode looks even better, full of ghosts!
DeleteYes, so sad about Jackie Collins...I haven't even finished reading all of her books about Lucky Santangelo. I think I will find some to add to my stacks.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing...enjoy your books, and thanks for visiting my blog.
I have a lot of her books still to read, they are all kinds of awesome!
DeleteGreat job on not getting any new books! That's so tough! I haven't watched the first 2 episodes of this season of Doctor Who. I really like Peter Capaldi but I just don't think he and Clara work very well together. I love her but I think the show will click more with a new companion. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI don't think they work well either, they both need a new start I think!
DeleteI will definitely be a reader of your bizarre books feature. I love weird, well not too weird.. LOL.I read The Great Zoo of China. I won't tell you whether I liked it or not until you are finished! Have a wonderful week. :)
ReplyDeleteI'll try not to be too weird. I have finished the Great Zoo and.....well my review will be soon!!!
DeleteI totally agree with you on the new Doctor... I'm just really not sold on him at all. I really loved Ten and Eleven, but... meh. Congrats on your 1% boost on Netgalley! :P
ReplyDeleteHere's my Weekly Recap!
Only 1 percent but better than nothing!
DeleteStill getting used to your new haircut? It's hard in the beginning - I remember that from a very long time ago... now, I just keep my hair fairly short - much easier and faster to style :D
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic week and happy reading, Heather.
Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookviews
I'm getting used to it, just trying to get it to sit properly but it looks good!
