LESLEY KNOPE!!
Ok so are well on board with Lesley? Good, so how are we all?
Me, I have a forty a day cough (I don't smoke any more) which is driving me crazy, my eldest has been ill and she is a bad patient prone to crazy dramatic outbursts. The poor babe though she has been ill with a hellish cough (could be where I got mine from) but is thankfully getting better.
Today it started to snow, can't say I was thrilled but I do feel strangely Christmassy.
This week I started watching Broad City which I had previously dismissed as hipster nonsense but is actually freaking funny, so much better than Girls which I got bored of. The girls in Broad City are brilliantly comic with the best facial expressions!
Also there is one week to enter my giveaway, go on you know you need more books! Enter below, it is worldwide!!
Have a great week everyone!

Who doesn't love Lesley Knope?? Great choice!! I have heard so many great things about Broad City but haven't watched it yet. My kids are super excited for the Good Dinosaur. They did a very good job of marketing it. Enjoy your books and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI am hoping to see the Good Dinosaur next weekend, it looks so cute!!
DeleteBroad City really is hysterical, much better than I thought, I should know by now to never judge a book by its cover!!
Nice funny! I laughed when I saw that... I always loved writing but my grammar wasn't always flawless. :) The Good Dinosaur looks cute.
ReplyDeleteIt's been snowing here too, everything's white. Yikes... hope you guys are on the mend soon. :)
It looks amazingly cute!!!
DeleteEverything here has a touch of the white stuff, thankfully not heaps!
lol - I'd say Lesley is a good pick. Oh man, hope you the sickness leaves you two soon. The Good Dinosaur hasn't come out yet? Seems like I've seen commercials for it for so long now. Anyway, have a great week.
ReplyDeleteIt could be it is released later here in the UK? Lesley Knope is an inspiration!!!
DeleteUgh, coughs are horrible. I hope you and your eldest recover from it quickly!
ReplyDeleteHave a great (reading) week, Heather. :)
They are the worst! I feel so old!!
DeleteI'm hoping I can accompany my friend and her little boy to The Good Dinosaur. He loves dinosaurs (and helped me review a dinosaur book recently).
ReplyDeleteAnd snow.... I think longingly as we've had a heatwave here in Australia!
My youngest daughter loves Dinosaurs, she watches Jurassic World every night, the girls is obsessed!
DeleteAh a heatwave, sounds nice!
I hope your cough will be vanquished very soon, Heather! It is so hard to sleep when having a cough :(
ReplyDeleteWe were supposed to get snow this weekend, but no white flakes have shown up yet.
I hope you'll enjoy your new books!!
Have a fantastic week ahead and happy reading :)
Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookviews
It is horrible, it makes feel about fifty years older than I actually am!
DeleteDespite the snow warning, not much fell but it is very nippy out!!
I hardly watch TV anymore - Too much to read. If we do I create graphics or write posts. I haven't heard of Broad City. We did do a movie binge this weekend though.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!
I have to watch tv and blog at the same time otherwise I would never see anything!
DeleteI haven't read any of those books, guess I have to stop by goodreads and check them out. I hope everyone in your family feels better soon. I'm glad I don't have to worry about snow, but it will be strange not secretly praying for a white Christmas.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy your week.
Dreams @ Once Upon A Dream Books
I am happy with Christmas being white as I should be off word but having to travel in snow every day is not going to be fun!!!
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
Sorry to hear that you and your eldest have been sick. I hope you both feel better soon! Also, happy birthday! And I love your funny; I've seen it elsewhere, and it never fails to make me chuckle.
ReplyDeleteIn answer to the question of what I would buy if I won. . . I'd probably put it toward that gorgeous new illustrated Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Yes, the UK version, because I want the original text. The American versions americanized the text a bit too much in the first few, though they pretty much stopped mucking with it after a while (other than spelling, of course.)
I saw the HP book in my local bookshop earlier but I steered clear of it as I knew I would want to buy it!
DeleteI hate it when they muck about with books, crazy they should leave alone!
Lesley Knope is funny and yes snow always gets me in the holiday mood. Hope both you are your daughter feel better soon. Happy Birthday and have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteShe is the best, I love her to bits!
DeleteI hope you and your daughter feel better soon, that cough sounds nasty. We had some hail today, but no snow yet, we usually don't get snow till december or january. I hope you'll enjoy your new books and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lola! All feeling better!
DeleteAck, seems like health hasn't been treating you to well, so I hope everyone you know and you yourself gets better soon! But I am glad you have telly shows and good books to keep you company. I like the looks of the Good Dinosaur as well so I am looking forward to seeing that too.
ReplyDeleteIt has yuck, still have a forty a day cough (I don't smoke)! The Good Dino look so good, hope to see it before Christmas!
Deletehaha oh Charlie Brown! sorry about the bad cough. That time of the year I guess. I hate being sick! No snow where I live (yet) but it does keep getting colder and colder.

I dread the snow, they say heavy snow due tomorrow, urgh think I will hibernate!
DeleteLiz Lemon and Leslie Knope, lol My daughter loves both those shows. :) Happy Birthday!!
ReplyDeleteThey are both fab! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI hope you and your daughter feel better soon! I loved the Charlie Brown comic! Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteCharlie Brown is the best! Snoopy is adorable!
DeleteI haven't heard of Broad City before, but I am so glad you're enjoying it! And I hope you're feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteIt is very funny and very naughty too! I love it!
DeleteYes to Leslie Knope! I love Amy Poehler. I'll have to look for Broad City. I was seriously underwhelmed with Girls so that sounds promising. Hope everyone gets better soon. Those dragging coughs are no fun. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteGirls was great to begin with but they are just too hip and trendy for me!! Cough still here but all feeling much better!
DeleteI hope you feel better soon and get some relief from the cough and I hope your daughter gets well soon too.
ReplyDeleteIt is cold here but thankfully no snow yet. I'm not ready for that!
The Good Dinosaur looks like a cute movie. I'm sure we'll show it at the library when it is out on DVD.
Feeling better but cough still lingers!!
DeleteCold here too, snow threatening again!!
LOL that funny is great! Fell better soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks!! Hope you had a great week!
DeleteArgh coughs that like that can drive you nuts, hope you kick it soon. I lost my voice last week and now I'm coughing a lung up. I can't wait to take my granddaughter to The Good Dinosaur, it looks so cute! haha giggling at the funny, I'm a bit anal with grammar. Feel better and happy reading :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling better!
DeleteThe Good Dino looks mega cute and I hope to see it soon!
Agh, I hope you can shake that cough soon. They are the WORST. *heavy sigh* And oh yay snow!! It's like boiling hot in Australia, but I still have that "ohh it feels like Christmas" feeling. xD
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by @ Paper Fury!
I remember when my in-laws from Brisbane came to visit us in Scotland, they were so cold, you guys have the best weather (and some bad too). I can't imagine Christmas in the sun!!
DeleteYou're so funny! Congrats on your new spirit animal! I have to pick one then just for kicks.
ReplyDeleteTotally pick one!! It is fun every week to find a pic!
DeleteHmm, haven't heard of Beacon 23, I'll have to go look it up on Goodreads. No snow where I live yet. And while I'm kind of ready for it, I'll be okay if it waits till closer to Christmas. Have a good week, and happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteCheck out my Sunday Post
