I'm gonna recap my week and give you an idea of what I have coming up plus anything else newsworthy!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
I am still in shock that Christmas went by so quickly, I have not felt remotely festive at all probably due to our weather being wet and crappy.
We are being hit by storm after storm at the moment all with such great names as Storm Desmond and Storm Frank, I think our met office needs to up their game with cool storm names - Storm Fernando etc.
Anyhoo 2015 is now gone, good riddance! It was a bit of a meh year and I have high hopes for 2016.
With regards to blogging I really want to try and schedule ahead more which I aim to do very shortly with the 16 books I read during my break, a few of which happily can be applied against COYER! I also really want to move to WordPress but at the moment I think I can't justify the cost but I shall see how the year plays out.
In real life, well on Christmas Day me and hubby booked our flights, car hire and accommodation for Orlando in September. This will be our seventh time but it is our first time with a car, so of course do we hire a tiny easy to drive car to drive on unfamiliar roads?
Hell no, we got this...
I believe it is called a Chevrolet Tahoe, it seems to be the size of a small planet but it has enough space for our luggage.
Now, My blogging North Americans, I know you for some reason drive on the wrong side of the road and you have the steering wheel on the wrong side too, I can live with that but can you help me with any road rules that us Brits may not know about!? I believe you can turn on a red light if it is clear??
Have a good week everyone!

Happy New year! I didn't feel really festive during christmas either, but we had some fun moment, it was really busy too and lots of rain.
ReplyDeleteI switched to wordpress about two years ago and am still happy I did, it does costs some money, but it's not too pricey in my opinion. Good luck with Coyer and I hope you'll have a great week!
Thanks Lola! Good luck too and Happy New Year!
DeleteHappy Sunday Post of the New Year! :) I think they should name storms after YA books, or maybe Lord of the Rings. that could be interesting. I'm with ya though, hard to believe Christmas whizzed by.
ReplyDelete2015 was whatever for me too, so yeah- bring on a new one! :)
Storm Sauron or Hurricane Bilbo, sounds good!!
DeleteMan, I can't even imagine trying to drive on the opposite side of the road! But ahem, I do believe *your* side is the wrong side :-P And to answer your question, you can turn right at red lights since that's the side of the road you're on. But as soon as you ask about road rules and actually make me consciously think about them, I suddenly start panicking and feeling like I don't know any of them, haha. But happy 2016! Fingers crossed that it'll be good for us all!
ReplyDeleteOh crap I am so far behind on my commenting it kills me anyway thanks for the tips, me and hubby have been watching silly youtube videos of us Brits attempting to drive the massive cars in the States for some tips!
DeleteHappy New Year! I hope 2016 will be better for you since 2015 was a ‘meh’ year! ;)
ReplyDeleteI’m so sorry to hear the weather isn’t getting any better yet. I live in the Netherlands and we’re seeing a lot of footage on television about flooding, and old pubs being swept away by the water.. Looks horrible. I hope it’s gets better soon.
It’s my first time on the Sunday Post, and I look forward to seeing more of your posts in the upcoming weeks. ;)
Sorry for the delay in commenting, am massively behind! The weather has improved thankfully!
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
You can turn right on a red if it is clear unless there is a sign that says no turn on red. Got all that?? I am an awful driver so I have no tips. But yay for Orlando!!! Your funny this week had me cracking up. Have a great week!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for Orlando, sorry for the delay in commenting am sooooo behind!
DeleteI plan to bring order to the chaos of my blogging this year. Mind you, I said that last year too...! Nice monster vehicle! If the zombie apocalypse comes while you are there, you can mow them down!
ReplyDeleteHell, I hope I see a zombie on my hols so I can test out the beast!!!
Deleteyup, it didn't feel much like Christmas because of the weather. Ugh sorry to hear about the storm. I'm looking forward to your review of the Golden Son. That'll be one of the series I'll finish as part of finish series challenge :)
ReplyDeleteand... I hope you move to WordPress soon you'll love it. It should only cost you around $160 to host your page for two years in bluehost after that everything else you can do for free (WordPress installation, theme etc.) I'll be happy to tell you more email me if you have more question:)
Thanks Daniela, I would love to move, fingers crossed I get to it soon and I will definitely take you up on your offer if I need any help!!
DeleteYeah, buh-bye 2015! I am moving to WordPress at some point this year. In the US they have a free platform, I think. At least that is what I was planning on to begin with. Last year there were fabulous ebook sales after Christmas, this year, not so much. I was disappointed. I didn't buy anything either. Have a super-fantastic 2016!
ReplyDeleteThanks my sweet!!! WP looks fab but the whole free aspect of blogger is good!!
DeleteYes, what Grace said...except, of course, you have to stop first. LOL.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy trying to figure out our "wrong" ways....I love watching movies of all of you driving on the "wrong" side of the road.
Enjoy your trip to Orlando...and thanks for visiting my blog.
Ha! Okay will remember to stop!!!
DeleteWoohoo Florida, best way to met the New Year is with some exciting travel plans. No books, are you ok! :D
ReplyDeleteI am trying to be responsible and spend less money on those essentials like books! It wont last!
DeleteOk you can only turn right on red if there is no sign saying not to (example-No Right Turn on RED). Signs are very big here, and usually easy to understand. I hope you have an awesome trip!! I loved the funny!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Joann, good I like big and obvious signs but we are also getting a sat nav just to be on the safe side!
DeleteYou can only turn right on red! A Tahoe is pretty good sized but there are bigger ones. Hope you enjoy driving it and enjoy driving on the correct side of the road :). I love Orlando and it's been far too long since I've been to Disney!
ReplyDeleteI love it too but this massive jeep is a little scary, good scary!
DeleteOMG, you had me cracking up! I hope you can get a lot of scheduling done. That's been my project this holiday vacation as well. You're rocking COYER, BTW! I read a lot of books, but not all of them qualified for that. Smart planning!
ReplyDeleteAs for driving... You can only make right turns on red, unless it states you can't. Don't turn left on red. Though, I think you can if it's a red arrow, and traffic is clear. Need to look up Orlando's driving rules on that one. That's the thing about the U.S., driving rules very from state to state. As a native Michiganian, I never bothered to learn California's driving laws. Oops, pretend I never said that!
I didn't realise they varied from state to state so will check up on that and I am so happy you are clued up on those driving laws, ha!!
DeleteDon't worry about driving here in the US. I lived in Orlando for 10 years. Everyone there is from somewhere else, and probably lost. Lol! (oh and you can turn right on red if it is clear) I am uber excited about Gemina as well! Looking forward to your reviews, get typing!
ReplyDeleteYep, you are totally right, everyone is a tourist! Gemina cannot come soon enough!!
DeleteOoooh! Yay for vacations! I loved Orlando so much I moved here last year! :D And yes, you can turn right on red (unless there's a "no turn on red" sign)! I hope you have an awesome 2016!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Weekly Recap!
Jealous!!!! Thanks Tracy and have a great 2016 too!
Deleteyay for all those books you read on break! I wish I did as well. haha That's exciting you're visiting Orlando too. I'd love to go there! I don't drive actually so I'm not a good person to ask about driving rules. The whole turning on red though? Not everywhere, no, but there are usually signs and whatnot that say if you can turn on red or not. I wonder if you could find a website, like U.S. driving for tourists? haha

I only started driving again last year so may leave the driving to my hubby! There will be a website someplace!!
DeleteLol! I have a cousin who married a Brit a few years back and now lives in England. I don't know who has crazier drivers. You can turn right (not left) on a red if there isn't a sign saying otherwise. We've got four kids so we drive big vehicles. I hope you enjoy your week and thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteTressa @ Wishful Endings
I have a 4 x 4 at home but it looks like a mini compared to the Tahoe (or Avis equivalent!!). There are some nutters on the roads in Scotland who have no patience, the road I take to work has the highest death toll in Scotland, the drivers on it can be scary.
DeleteHaha a car the size of a planet. I like that. I hope 2016 will be a great year for you, Heather!
ReplyDeleteYou too Signourney, have a great 2016!!!
