Welcome to my Sunday Post, a weekly meme hosted by Kimberley over at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer . Join me as I ramble about my week in and out of the blogosphere.
Week one of the school holidays and I have escaped the hell by using cunning (ie: I went to work) but this week I am being a responsible parent and taking a week off to look after my pair. My hair is turning grey as I write this.
Anyway a weeks holiday means time to catch up with house stuff but most importantly I am going to read lots too and write a shitload of reviews that I am behind on.
I may also go watch The Secret Life of Pets, I may also take the kids.
Happy reading book bunnies!

Hello there and I've got a bad feeling I missed your blog last week Heather. I tend to open everyone's blogs in order until I get to 48 or so and then I click through to my regulars and I think I missed yours. So sorry about that.
ReplyDeleteSchool hols are finishing this weekend in my part of Australia but only half-way through in other parts. As I live in a complex favoured by holiday makers it's been a bit busier in my neck of the woods.
I hope you enjoy the time with your kids and get some house stuff done BUT also get some reading and reviewing done!
I don't think I had a post last Sunday so don't worry! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteAh they're free! Watch out lol hope you fit some reading in. I want to read Thirst after checking out the synopsis- love reads like that. How is Saga??
ReplyDeleteSaga is fantastic and I really need to review it very soon!
DeleteGood luck catching up book reviews and whatnot, and enjoy the movie :-) Can't wait to see what you think of the latest Saga volume!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed it even Vol 6, still looks amazing too!
DeleteHAH! Love your "funnies" edition. So true! I do admit I love my Kindle, but I'm a strong proponent of libraries. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you like The Secret Life of Pets if you see it. I'm pretty curious about it. It seems cute and I like a lot of the voice actors.
I NEED Saga Vol 6 like NOW!

Pets was a brilliant film, so cute and funny! Get Vol 6 ASAP!
DeleteI used to dread the school holidays here but to be honest, we don't see many kids out playing the way my friends did. Now even the youngest kids are surgically attached to their phones. Still it gives me peace and quiet in the summer! Have a good week and I hope you get lots of reading done!
ReplyDeleteThanks Chuckles!
DeleteSorry you had a bit of a stressful week, but it can be nice to catch up on things. Now I am curious about your post about being Scottish, will have to check that one next. I hope you'll have a good week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lola!
DeleteHope you enjoy your week off and that you can have some fun with your kids this week! And that they don't drive you too crazy... You've got some nice books here to tie you over if you are ever in need of escape though.
ReplyDeleteI'll need to escape!
DeleteOh that gif fits my week too! The Secret Life of Pets looks fantastic and I'm not sure I'd want to take the kids either. I always end up having to take someone to the restroom at the worst possible moment! Have a great week (and hope your sanity survives!)!
ReplyDeleteNo matter how many time they go to the loo beforehand one of them always needs!
DeleteI understand about the hair turning grey bit... but from the perspective of a mom whose daughter is spending probably her last summer at home, enjoy these months! Also, I hope you enjoy your movie and are able to get lots of reviews done. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteLOL! I love that funny comic! Here’s my Sunday Post!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
Deleteahhhh that comic is so fun. XD I love my library card, hehe. And oh good luck hanging out with your kids this week. ;D And I hope Secret Life of Pets is good! It seems like the animal version of Toy STory, right??! 😂
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by @ Paper Fury!
Thanks Cait!
DeleteGood luck with the kiddos. We are going to see The Secret Life of Pets this week and I am not sure who is more excited! Hope you enjoy Beyond Belief. I found it really interesting. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Grace!
DeleteI love the new blog design. I looks awesome! I don't have kids, but as a teacher, I'm glad I'm free :) Hahaha! Your books look really interesting. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tiffany!
DeleteHahaha .. so much yes to that gif! Oh man, I started turning grey at 16/17. I liked it though. :D Have a nice week, Heather!
ReplyDeleteThanks Christy!
DeleteMy internet was out last Tuesday, the first day of my vacation, and I got a ton of housework done. Ha ha! I can see all my kitchen counter tops now! The movie thing, priceless. Enjoy your week off. :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda!
DeleteI hope you'll have a good week off with lots of reading and not too many grey hair turning.
ReplyDeleteThanks Annemieke!
