Welcome to my Sunday Post, a weekly meme hosted by Kimberley over at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer . Join me as I ramble about my week in and out of the blogosphere.
Hello, how you doing?
It has been a week of crazy weather, rain peeing down one minute and gorgeous sun the next. I hate it. I hate weather like this, I wish it would just sort itself the hell out and decide exactly what it is.
In other news over the last couple of weeks, my 10 month old car broke down, I was not pleased but it is fixed now but still do they not build things to last these days?
My book reading has been, like my blogging a bit lax mainly because I am tired and usually fall asleep drooling on my book and kindle. I need a holiday and thankfully next month one is coming up.
I did however manage to find time to read, nay devour Gemina, I was made up to get an ARC and I loved every minute of this amazing read which is just as great as Illuminae. The only downside, well it is an unfinished proof, a lot of the graphics are not there but I think the finished article will be immense. I hope to review soon.
Anyway have a lovely week and happy reading book bunnies!

It's been HOT here but today we had rain sheet down and tornadoes in the area... no damage here but trees down and roofs off not too far away. Crazy weather. My reading has slacked with the Olympics on but I'm keeping up, so I'm cool with that.
ReplyDeleteI have Gemina jealousy, but glad to hear it was good! :)
Tornadoes sounds really scary, stay safe out there!
DeleteI know what you mean about falling asleep. I'm only half way through a book I've been reading this week. I keep falling asleep on it after a few chapters, and it's really good, so that's not the problem. Sorry to hear about the car. At least you were able to get it fixed, but still. It's way too early to be having problems.
ReplyDeleteIt is way too early but I love my car so they better fix it!
DeleteWhat the heck? Glad your car is fixed, but lame it did that so soon. Hope it doesn't give you anymore troubles.
ReplyDeleteIt had better not or I'll be throwing a major hissy fit!
DeleteSorry to hear about your car - I hate it when that happens, because it takes away your trust in its reliability:(. Here's hoping it was just a stupid teething problem and it will now behave itself for the duration! And I sympathise deeply over the weather - living in a country with a LOT of wayward, unpredictable weather fronts, I regularly shout at the window. Himself comments that I shouldn't get so worked up over something I can do nothing about - and I reply that's why I'm so angry! Have a great week and - hopefully - get a chance to rest...
ReplyDeleteI know, the weather is the one thing we can't control, it was beautiful here for all of two hours then it poured down and the sky went black as night, and it is supposed to be summer!
DeleteOooh J D Robb, I like! For me, this time of year makes it hard to stay inside and blog. I can read a lot no matter where I am though.
ReplyDeletesherry @ fundinmental My Sunday Memes
I love JD Robb so much, such a fab series!
DeleteI am so relived to hear you loved Gemina! I guess I should go ahead and pre-order it now. I can't wait to read your review. Weather here has been wonky as well. We decided no matter what it looks like we still ride the motorcycles when we have time. Like this morning when it looked like it was sure to rain. The wind was cool (not blisteringly hot) and we didn't see any rain. Sorry to hear about your car, that sucks!
ReplyDeleteHave a good week!
Yes pre-order it! Yep get on your bike before winter hits!!
DeleteI have an ARC of Gemina from BEA, but have already preordered the finished book since I will want all the graphics. We have had our car for five years with no issues. *quickly knocks on wood* Hope your week is simply amazing!
ReplyDeleteYep that was the only bad thing about the ARC was all the "coming soon" missing images but apart from that it was amazing!
DeleteGlad your car is fixed but how annoying! I'm finally getting some reading done but I went through a long stretch where it felt like I was doing nothing but falling asleep every time I picked up a book. That thing about jogging is too funny. I so agree. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI'm starting to read a bit more now but all I want to do is sleep!
DeleteHa! I love that quote about jogging. I took up jogging last year and hated it. I mean, I loved being able to eat a brownie after a run and not feel guilty about it, but I hated the actually running part.
ReplyDeleteThe running part sucks but I wish I could do it more often!
DeleteSorry about the car troubles :-/ Glad you got it fixed though. And I get you about the weather. Rain isn't always that bad, but when the weather is just all over the place and you don't even know what it's going to be ten minutes from now, that's just frustrating because you can't even plan anything or figure out what to wear or do!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed your ARC of Gemina! Have a great week and enjoy the rest of your new books :-)
Thanks Kristen, the weather sucks all the time!
DeleteWhoa! Some fab books this week! I had to laugh about the workout. That's me too. And jogging. That sure is a blast from the past. LOL
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday Post
Thanks Laura!
DeleteThat's pretty much the weather in Puerto Rico haha it's sunny during the morning and most afternoons it rains for an hour or two and then sun again lol
ReplyDeleteI requested the Furious Rush audiobook and I can't wait to get it and listen to it!
Genesis @ Latte Nights Reviews
I have still to read Furious Rush but I do love SC Stephens so hope it is good!
DeleteI follow that workout...reading in bed until my arms hurt.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week; hope you catch up on sleep and relaxation, and have some fun along the way. Thanks for visiting my blog.
Thanks Laurel!
DeleteLove the quote at the end - reading in books really DOES work your arms. Non-readers just don't know. Sorry about your car! I'm glad it's fixed now, but that's awful it broke down so soon. Cars...ridiculous!

Cars are much needed but yep a pain in the butt!
DeleteI think we had a bit of your weather last week here as well. So much rain and temperatures dipping to 15-16 Celcius. And now we are apparently having a heat wave. Seriously? I just want a steady 20-22 Celcius with a nice sun. That sounds like a good Summer to me.
ReplyDeleteSorry your car broke down. :(
A steady week of sun would suit me fine!!
DeleteGlad you've been enjoying Gemina! Seems like you've been busy, so busy that it's hard to stay up and awake to read by the end of it! Hope you can get more energy this time round x
ReplyDeleteI have lots of strong coffee, it should keep me up!
DeleteUgh that's bad about your car! :/ I hope it's not a reoccurring problem. And oooh GEMINA. I'm so so excited for it, heeh. I've got the Illuminae audiobook on reserve at the library so I can refresh myself before it comes out. #need
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by @ Paper Fury!
I can't wait till I have all three books and I am going to binge them all in one go!
DeleteHow on Earth did I miss this?????? Sorry aboiut your weather. It was just about like that here at that time, too. Our weather straightened out. I hope yours did too. I looked at The Return Of the Young Prince on Goodreads. How intriguing. I will be looking forward to your thoughts. I was thinking about how I missed you posting a regular Sunday Post and then I missed this one on my own. I was a bad girl!
ReplyDeleteI know, I am just not 100% blog minded at the minute but will hopefully after my holiday feel more like regular posting.
