Sometimes you need to just get to the point, you don't need to go on and on and on and on about a book that you have enjoyed (or not).

The back cover says....
Once upon a time, there were five crazy people, and they poisoned the 21st Century. Now they have to deal with the corrosion to try and save us all from a world becoming too weird to support human life. INJECTION is the new ongoing series created by the acclaimed creative team of Moon Knight. It is science fiction, tales of horror, strange crime fiction, techno-thriller, and ghost story all at the same time. A serialised sequence of graphic novels about how loud and strange the world is getting, about the wild future and the haunted past all crashing into the present day at once, and about five eccentric geniuses dealing with the paranormal and numinous as well as the growing weight of what they did to the planet with the Injection.

The back cover says....
Millennia ago, mankind fled the earth's surface into the bottomless depths of the darkest oceans. Shielded from a merciless sun's scorching radiation, the human race tried to stave off certain extinction by sending robotic probes far into the galaxy, to search for a new home among the stars. Generations later, one family is about to be torn apart, in a conflict that will usher in the final race to save humanity from a world beyond hope. Dive into an aquatic fantasy like none you've ever seen before, as writer RICK REMENDER (BLACK SCIENCE, Captain America) and artist GREG TOCCHINI (Last Days of American Crime) bring you a tale of mankind's final hour in the cold, deathly dark of the sea. Collects LOW #1-6.

Water babies lol. I have to admit the whole unersea thing gets me about Low. Too bad it was disapointing. I saw a sample of it somewhere and was less than impressed, so I didn't get it. Bummer too, seemed like potential.
ReplyDeleteIt did seem like it could be great but nope it just fell flat.
DeleteThanks for sharing! I really need to read more graphic novels...

I really do enjoy them (well not these ones!)
DeleteI have Injection Vol. 1 marked on Hoopla to read, so I'm sad to see you only gave it 2 stars. Did you just read the first issue though, or the whole volume? Because I feel like I'm always confused af about what's going on in the first issue or two of comics lol.
ReplyDeleteNo it was the first volume but hey we can't like everything. I may have a change of heart and buy the second volume to see if that clears things up for me.
