Welcome to my Sunday Post, a weekly meme hosted by Kimberley over at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer . Join me as I ramble about my week in and out of the blogosphere.
Not much to report, Scotland is hot one day and blowing a gale the next! You know us Brits we love to complain about the weather. Since my last Sunday Post I have been to the cinema twice which is unheard of for me, my first trip was to see Baywatch with the girls and I have a post coming up about that this week (spoiler alert - I loved it). My second trip was to see those little yellow dudes the Minions in Despicable Me 3 which was 80's tastic!!
I have been reading a bit more and now have to get my finger out and write more reviews which I hope to get done this week. I bought a super duper blog planner, a pic of said planner should be in my instagram pics up above, to help me stay organised and on track.
Talking of on track I totally hit a wall this week with my running but I have been very tired so am blaming that.
Last of all if you are looking for a new podcast I have added a link in my page bar for my favourite podcasts, I keep discovering more and more, the quality out there is fantastic!
Have a great week everyone!

I have been wanting to read Mr. Mercedes...and I'm eyeing No Is Not Enough.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your reading, and thanks for visiting my blog.
Thanks!!
DeleteOooh! Glad you enjoyed Baywatch and Despicable Me 3!
ReplyDeleteHere’s my Sunday Post!
Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog and join in this week’s Book Photo Sundays!
They were fab!!
DeleteMe and the kids thought Despicable Me 3 was fun!! Love a good planner. Lots of new books - Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Grace!
DeleteOoh Pandemic and The Dark Intercept look good! And I love the Minions but haven't seen Despicable 3. I don't care about the Despicable dude, I just like the Minions lol.
ReplyDeletePodcasts are something I want to do but I need to find the time. I never did keep up with Welcome to Nightvale- do you still listen?
There are lots of Minions to be enjoyed in DM3, don't worry! I kind of got sidelined with Night Vale as I found some others that I enjoyed even more.
DeleteI read a ton of YA, so I am unfamiliar with many of these, but I looked up at least 3 on GoodReads because there are some incredible covers up there. Midnight at the Bright Ideas Bookstore sounds like a cool mystery.
ReplyDeleteIt looks fab, I can't wait to read it!
DeleteI think Baywatch would be fun - glad you liked it! Love planners. I need to use mine more in terms of decorating. :)

I love planners too, I just need to get into the way of regularly using it!
DeleteGlad you to see you enjoyed DM3 & Baywatch. I took my little man to see DM3, I had a blast, but my little man not so much. Much of the 80's theme went over his head ^_^. Have a great week and Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteThe 80's theme was fab, I really enjoyed it!
DeleteMy first trip to Scotland was in late March or early April, and I remember it being miserably cold and damp. My second was in mid-May, and it was absolutely glorious! But I've been to England and Wales in summer three or four times, so I know the weather can fluctuate a lot more than most Americans are used to. Keeps things interesting, I think!
ReplyDeleteI took a look at your podcast page. The Complete Guide to Everything sounds interesting, but honestly, I can't keep up with the podcasts I'm following now! [In case you're wondering, they include The Allusionist, Science Friday, 99% Invisible, Imaginary Worlds, RadioLab, Writing Excuses (sometimes), and an NPR quiz-and-comedy show based on the week's news, called Wait Wait Don't Tell Me.] My daughter enjoys Welcome to Nightvale, though.
The weather is so changeable but us Brits do like to moan about the weather!!
DeleteNoted those podcasts, I have a huge list to work through but The Complete Guide to Everything is truly my favourite, those guys kill me every week with their take on life.
Strange Magic actually looks pretty good and Stephen King is always a classic. I've tried purchasing planners before (for schoolwork/ blogging etc.) but I have a hard time following them. Please let me know if you have any pointers haha! xD Also, would love to visit Scotland one day. (I'm from Bangladesh, btw)

I do struggle with planners but I am hoping by buying one it will make me want to plan more!! Wow Bangladesh, that is great, I am ashamed to say I don't much about it apart from where you are in the world. I'll have to stop by your blog to see more!
DeleteWow! Your haul looks so good. Yay for Mr. Mercedes too, I recently read that trilogy. I haven't been to the theater in ages. I seriously canot remember the last movie I saw. that's sad. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen!
DeleteI love the Mr. Mercedes series, although I listened on audio. Pandemic looks totally cool! Despicable Me 3 is one my peeps want to see, so glad it was good! Hope your week is amazing!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteYour books look great. Pandemic and Mr. Mercedes have my interest. I hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Yvonne!
DeleteMy goodness - what an impressive book haul! I've also got The Last Dog on Earth and Uploaded in my TBR pile so I'll be especially interested to see what you make of those. I love the idea of podcasts, but I simply don't have time to keep up with the social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook, so I'll have to wait until I have a clone. Best of luck with the running, I know how important it is to try and keep fit. Thank you for swinging by and have a great week:).
ReplyDeleteThe Last Dog on Earth is brilliant, really enjoyed it, hope you do too!
DeleteHell Divers is on my tbr and I want to get it read this year.
ReplyDeleteI hope you like it!!
DeleteMr. Mercedes is a book I plan to read sometime as I understand it's not as scary as his others! Happy reading week and hope the weather gets better over the summer.
ReplyDeleteYep that what I am led to believe too, I prefer his less gory ones!
DeleteThere are a couple of books I'm curious about in your new book list. Looking forward for your reviews. I hope you enjoy them all. Thanks for sharing. Happy reading and have a wonderful week. 😁👍🏻
ReplyDeleteThanks!!
DeleteI was in England a few weeks ago, and that weather was worth complaining about! It was like 95 degrees F! That is hot even for this American girl! I can't wait to see Despicable Me 3! I love those movies!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Yep, England especially the south has been crazy hot, we are suppose to get a heat wave soon!
DeleteLooks like you've got some great new books. I've heard some great things about Hell Divers. And that cover is amazing.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious about Baywatch.. but I'm also a little scared I won't like it at all. I loved the series when I was younger.
Have a great week and happy reading!
Baywatch is wonderfully daft and great fun!
DeleteI have opened way too many new tabs from your book haul cover list :D you've got quite a few interesting ones! I requested growing season, but I don't know if I'm going to get it. Been too quiet :D
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed you get it!!
DeleteI have been wanting to watch Baywatch so bad! It looks so campy and fun! I really loved Despicable Me and the Minions movie so Despicable 3 is on my to watch list. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderfully camp and daft!!
DeleteI love the cover and title of Midnight At the Library Of Bright Ideas. I didn't realize your photos at the top are IG pics! I just thought that you randomly changed them from time to time. Ha ha. I see your two cuties up there. I hope you are having a marvelous week. :)
ReplyDeleteNope they are Instagram, my clever template automatically bungs them up there!!
DeleteOh I love planners! I've had my bullet journal for 2 years now and it's so amazing for the blog and my daily plans, in fact I need to get a new one soon. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks!!
DeleteThe Netherlands is similar, one day warm weather and then rain or winds the next one. But at least it doesn't stay warm too long usually. I hope your new planner works for you :). Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lola!
