25 Book Blog Post Ideas Volume 1

I sometimes struggle to come up with good ideas outside my usual group of posts, from pottering about the internet I have found some good post ideas and thought I’d share them below!  Plus when I’ve done them myself I’ll link to that post!

1 - What books are you looking forward to in 2021?
Share your favourite upcoming releases!

2 - Book vs Film, which one was better?

We all have our favourites and our not so favourites, Ready Player One I am looking at you!

3 - Meet the blogger
We are all a little nosy or is it just me, it’s nice to learn more about each other especially as we are in different parts of the world!

4 - Book covers from around the world

A single book can have many covers, pick your favourite and share!

5 - Fave Bloggers to check out

A list of your favourite book bloggers, in fact it doesn’t even have to be book bloggers, any bloggers!

6 - Controversial - Overhyped Books!

You know the one, everyone loved it, you hated it!

7 - Books that went under the radar
Books that deserved praise but never got it

8 - Books set in your home town/district/country?

I would do books set in the Highlands or in Scotland, do they properly paint the picture of the are you live in?

9 - Dinner Party Guests - which authors/characters would you invite?
Go crazy, through a party and invite your favourite and don’t forget to tell us who came!

10 - Show us your shelf! A tour of your book shelf/shelves!
I know from #bookstagram there are some amazing shelves out there, lets see yours!

11 - Talk about a favourite place in a book, real or otherwise
If you’d could imagine visiting Hogwarts or strolling about through a futuristic New York, what would you do, what would you look at?!

12 - If you weren’t a book blog what else would you blog about?
I toyed with being a food blog very very briefly.....

13 - Parents, What are your kids reading?

My daughters have very different tastes, one of them likes scary books, the other is reading her way through My Hero Academia.

14 - The one book that changed your life!

Could be for better or worse, what book made an impact.

15 - Blog Tips! Share your wisdom!

Shortcuts, graphic tips, coding, share your pearls of wisdom!

16 - How do you review - share your process, do you take notes etc...

Some people take notes others rely on memory, how do you do it?

17 - Blogging Goals - could be books read or social....

Are you aiming for anything, reading nothing but sci fi or trying to get more followers on Instagram?

18 - Where do you buy your books, show love from local bookshops

Tell us about your local bookshops, are they quirky, what sort of books do they specialise in?

19 - Misunderstood characters, why they deserve your love!

That one character who everyone though was a shit but you actually really liked!

20 - Bookish collectibles

Funko pops, bookmarks, #bookstagram paraphernalia, multiple copies of books, tell us about it!

21 - Perfect reads for the Season - ie: cosy winter reads

Books to snuggle up with or books to take on holiday....

22 - Interview another blogger

What it says on the tin, ask a fellow blogger probing questions!

23 - Classic books you have never read

War and Peace? Anna Karenina? Never read them? Me neither!

24 - Popular series you have never read

I’ve never read anything by Sarah J Maas, I can’t be the only one!

25 - Books you have never finished but hope to one day!
The Stand I will conquer one day!

Are any of these helpful?! Let me know in the comments below.

  8. My biggest issues for doing blog posts right now are the issues with blogger's new interface, and finding time! I have lots of half started blog posts that I'm not motivated to finish yet including Corrie posts, book reviews and book tags. I like discussion posts whether it is about books, films, the blogger's life etc as it is something different to get chatting about!

  9. I love these ideas! I fall into just posting reviews all the time and I'm sure it's kind of boring so I'd love to branch out a bit. I'll have to bookmark this post.

If I didn't blog about books I think I'd blog about travel. Maybe I should do a travel post once in a while.
