Perfect Halloween Podcasts

I am an avid podcast listener.  The sheer volume of podcasts out there is phenomenal, of course I have my favourites and the ones below are my favourite ones to send a shiver down your spine!

Happy Listening!

The White Vault is one of my favourite podcasts and one of two that I actually subscribe to on Patreon (the other is The Complete Guide to Everything), its now in its fourth season and its still scaring me.

The first seasons starts of with an expedition travelling to a Svalbard outpost to fix communications, it quickly goes to shit with the discovery of a hidden village under the ice and the realisation that they are not alone.

Unexplained is now in its fifth season and covers everything from paranormal activity to creepy crime.  I think what makes this podcast is the narrator - Richard MacLean Smith, he is also the creator and he has a hypnotic voice which definitely adds to the spookiness of this podcast.

Favourite episodes include Roads to Nowhere which explores haunted roads  and the episode which covers the Lost Colony.

Dark Poutine is a podcast I discovered in the last year and I am working my way through there massive  back catalogue.  It is a Canadian podcast hosted by Mike and Scott and they explore true crime and spooky stories from all over Canada.

What I like about this podcast is that Mike and Scott are really enthusiastic about their topics, you can really tell they do their homework on each topic they cover and of course their banter is good too, they work well together.

The funny one! The Monster Hunters is a riotous romp in the company of ex-big game hunter Roy Chesterfield and Lorrimer Chesterfield, the sensible, clever one.

With a delicious retro vibe, our dynamic pair swing their way through all manner of monsters that have embedded themselves in the swinging sexy seventies.

Ladies and monsters watch out!

Carrier is helmed by Cynthia Erivo.  She plays a truck driver who picks up a trailer that with a cargo she really should have left behind.

What makes this is the immersive sound quality, I’d advise listening with headphones to really enjoy the creepy happenings.

There was a rumour that Cynthia is bringing this to the big screen which would be amazing!

  5. I have a few favorite podcasts, but none are spooky and I don't think I could listen to anything that gives me the willies.

One of my new favorite podcasts is hosted by Kelly Corrigan (a favorite nonfiction author). It's called Kelly Corrigan Wonders. She's had some great guests and I'm hoping she puts together a collection of the interviews in book format.
