Hello everyone, have you all had a good week?

As quite frankly things are just going from bad to worse, I thought I’d share some funny and cute things I’ve came across this week down below.

Before I get there you will all be relieved to know that I still dislike the new blogger but I no longer hate it.  I am giving it a chance to behave itself and so far it’s only pissed me off twice this week.

I was on Twitter getting the embed codes for the my posts below and I noticed that Michael Bay was trending, he is releasing a film called Songbird, set four years in the future where COVID-19 has mutated in to a nastier strain and there has been a lockdown lasting 4 years. I did not notice if Trump was in office, sorry about that.  It has a lot of famous faces in it but I think I it is verging on really bad taste, people are still dying, losing loved one, their jobs, their homes - I hope if it does make money that it’s getting donated to causes that will help people effected by this.

Anyway on to funny stuff, I’m featuring my fave Janey Godley so consider this your sweary warning and hopefully you can understand as a lot of these videos take this piss out of Mr Trump.

Stay safe and have a good week x

  4. Glad to hear your relationship with blogger is improving? And, well, Hollywood and the rest of the coastal elites can afford to make fun when they will never suffer like a lot of other people while they lecture everyone on how they should live and think. That's why I stopped watching movies and TV and have limited my social media time to about 15 minutes a day.

    1. It seems to be, it’s not as bad as it was.

Fifteen mins in social sounds very wise, it can toxic especially during these times. I’ve put limits on mine too along with my news app.

  5. Ooh, Songbird definitely sounds in bad taste, way too soon to be thinking about something like that! We're still in it, and it's getting worse.

  6. I missed this news about the new Michael Bay movie. It sounds in bad taste but Im definitely not surprised. People are profiting while thousands die.

I downloaded Hollow Places earlier this week. Can't wait to read it.

  8. I'm sorry things are getting more and more worse there. They really couldn't get much worse here. A high school near me this week closed down for two weeks when 22% of the students and teachers tested positive for covid.

Humor keeps me going. Thanks for sharing the humor you have found.

Books keep me going, too. Can't wait to see what you think about Mexican Gothic. I've thought about that one a lot.

    Have a good week, Heather!

    1. Humour is the best thing, The Office has been my go to show since I discovered it the other week, I’m now watching it for the second time, it’s hilarious!

I’m hoping to read Mexican Gothic soon, I’ve heard a lot of good!

  9. We might be going into another full lockdown here if the numbers don't go down. The restaurants are closed already. I am happy to hear you're dealing a bit better with the new blogger, it's so annoying when things like that change, especially when it's not for the better. I hope you'll enjoy your new books! Have a great week!

    1. Our district has gone in to a stricter lockdown, not quite full but not far off. Blogger seems to be behaving itself for the moment, hopefully it’ll last.

  10. I agree that it is in very bad taste to be doing a film like that to cash in on the pandemic.Way too soon. I hope nobody watches it and it tanks! I find myself on average on Blogger maybe twice a week at the moment-one day to write blog posts, the other for catchup! I'm tolerating it rather than enjoying it...

    1. I notice it’s not being advertised much, I can’t believe they made it.

I’m behind with everything on blogger I need to catch up.

  11. Oooh no, why would anyone make a movie about a horrible pandemic during said pandemic? It's definitely bad taste. I never got to get over my loathing of the new Blogger, I just hopped off it and on to the free Wordpress train very fast. I wish I could like the new Blogger, but it just proved too difficult for me. Hopefully you'll soon love it, or at least it won't piss you off anymore. Thank you for the funny videos, I'm adding them to my watch list. Have a great week!

    1. I just couldn’t bring myself to move, I was worried my posts would all need reformatted and just decided to grin and bear it. So far the last couple of weeks it’s been behaving!

  12. Your books look tempting, and I'm now curious about Songbird, but not anxious to see something more about Covid!

Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.

  13. Jane Godley is hilarious, thanks for sharing that!
I have The Plague Letters to read, I like the look of The insomniac Society too.
I hope you see some improvement in virus numbers soon.

Wishing you a great reading week

Virus figures unfortunately rising and we have stricter restrictions, hopefully that will help.

  14. I'm glad to hear that you and Blogger are coming to an understanding, Heather. I hadn't heard about Michael Bay's film. I think it's waaay too early for a release like that. Once we have vaccines and people aren't dying, then maybe. But not now.
Thanks for the funnies. Hope you have a great week. x

    1. It’s not been bad thankfully touch wood, I think it’s finally behaving!

It’s far too early for the film but it hasn’t had much publicity that I can see so hopefully it’ll stay that way.

  15. I agree that we all need some fun and happy things to take our minds off of the craziness. Can't wait for this election to be over (only if it goes the way I hope!!).

  18. Nop, 4 year lockdown and a never-ending Covid-19 is a bad bad dream. I can't believe it's a movie someone made. Ugh - some way to make us feel even worse, considering it is bad enough. It would make sense if it was all a warning to everyone that this is what would happen if Trump were still in office - that I can get behind.

Hope you have a good week! Hope we all have a good week. I am keeping my fingers crossed and letting through happy thoughts with the hope that it all ends well.

    1. I can’t believe they did it too, it’s such bad taste. Thankfully Trump is heading out of the office! Yay!

I’m glad America got the right result, hopefully Joe and Kamala can start working their magic.

  20. Yeah, I'm not thrilled with the new Blogger platform, but I had to switch over as it wouldn't let me revert any longer. Oh well. No major issues yet.

I think the Michael Bay film might be interesting given the times we live in. I watched Contagion and even though it was made like 10-13 years ago it was soooo like what we went through at the beginning. It was eerily similar! Freaked me and my daughter the heck out!

    1. I’ve got used to blogger, it’s not perfect but it’s better than it was.

I’ve never seen Contagion though I do remember watching the one with Dustin Hoffman and the monkey, it was scary. I should maybe seek out Contagion.

  21. That sounds like very bad taste for the movie. Hard pass on that one when it eventually comes out. Glad you're not hating the new Blogger. Dislike is much better! Maybe you'll get to vaguely tolerating at some point. I don't do enough with it to really hate it but I'm more just mystified by the changes they've made. They just don't make sense to me. Hope you have a good week.
