Can’t Wait Wednesday - The End of Men by Christina Sweeney-Baird

Can't-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted here, at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we're excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they're books that have yet to be released. It's based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine. If you're continuing with WOW, feel free to link those up as well! Find out more here.

Only men carry the virus, only women can save us....with current events of course books about any sort of virus can be a bit close to the bone.  I’ve heard a lot of good things already about this book and I’m looking forward to getting in to.

Glasgow, 2025. Dr Amanda Maclean is called to treat a patient with flu-like symptoms. Within three hours he is dead. This is how it begins.

The unknown virus sweeps through the hospital with deadly speed.

The victims are all men.

Dr Maclean raises the alarm. But by the time the authorities listen to her, the virus has spread to every corner of the world. Threatening families. Governments. Countries.

Can they find a cure before it’s too late?

Can they stop #TheEndOfMen?

  6. Very timely. LOL I wonder if the author wrote the book before the pandemic, and if so, how closely it follows reality in terms of response times and such. I will have to add this to my wish list! Thank you for sharing! I hope you enjoy The End of Men when you read it.
