Welcome to my Sunday Post, a weekly meme hosted by Kimberley over at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer . I’m also going to link up with Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality It’s Monday! What are your reading hosted by Book Date Sunday Salon hosted by Readerbuzz |
Hello, how are you all this week? If you celebrated Thanksgiving I hope you had a lovely time.
Me? Well first of all I am happy as it is my birthday! Today I am 39 years and 36 months old 😉
Secondly, I start work on Monday, I’m so pleased to be going back to some form of normalcy and I know I am very lucky as a lot of people are still out of work.
Not much else has been happening this week apart from my doorbell ringing a lot as the Christmas parcels start to arrive. I’m planning on putting up my Christmas tree tomorrow to add some colour and sparkle to the house and also because I can’t wait any longer. I mean there is snow on our hills so I am totally justified in putting it up!
I’ve been enjoying watching the second season of The Mandalorian, Baby Yoda is just the cutest! I’m also enjoying Fear the Walking Dead and Corporate, I never hear any one talking about Corporate, does anyone out there watch it?
Last of all some funny (some sweary) videos below, enjoy and stay safe!
Happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteOne of these days I need to get a Disney+ subscription. :)
It’s good, there are a lot of good films and shows on it!
DeleteBah ha ha... I love those voiceovers. 🙃
ReplyDeleteHow are the Nightvale books? I never did finish listening to the podcasts. 🤔
Yay for going back to work. 👏👏👏✨
We don't usually put our tree up until the second Saturday in December, but this year has been such shite, I think I'm going to put it up on the first. I think we all need a little extra twinkle right now. 🎄 But no snow! You can keep the snow with you. 😁
Have a wonderful new week. 🌞
The Nightvale books are really good, I find I’m paying attention to them more than the podcasts!
DeleteI’m sick of snow, we had thundersnow last night, I thought something had exploded it was so loud and also at five am. Now we’ve gales, urgh!
It makes me happy to have the tree up, it definitely brings the cheer to see it in the window.
Hope you’ve had a good week!
Happy Birthday 🥳 and congratulations 👏 on the new job!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a great reading week
Thank you!
DeleteHappy birthday! We just finished our Saturday morning watch of The Mandalorian!
ReplyDeleteI must watch the next episode, it should be out today!
DeleteHappy birthday, Heather! I've also got a copy of Ready Player Two coming, I'm excited😁
ReplyDeleteI’m taking my time with RP2 as I know I’ll just sit down and devour it and get nothing done!
DeleteI hope you had fun trimming the tree and good luck with your return to work.
ReplyDeleteThanks Samantha!
DeleteHappy brirthday and Happy Thanksgiving! I guess it must be nice to have both at the same time of the year so you can celebrate them both with your family. For sure everyone remembers. Have a great week
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteHappy Birthday! And good luck on Monday as you head back to work. Hope it's an awesome week for you. :D

DeleteMy family loves The Mandalorian but they all watched it without me, ugh.
ReplyDeleteMine are the opposite, I’m watching it without them!

Glad to hear you are going back to work. Good luck!
My husband is busy reading Ready Player One and he says it's good. The last house on Needless street sounds good! Let me know.
Enjoy your birthday and have a wonderful week ahead!
Lots of Love,
Elza Reads
Thank you so much my lovely! I had a lovely day!
DeleteWe are both still extremely young!! I still think I’m 18, the rest of my body disagrees!
Ready Player One is excellent, the film of it no so much, Ready Player Two looks just as good, I’m enjoying it so far.
Hope you’ve had a lovely week!
Happy Birthday! I read Severance last month. It was for my book club. Check out what I read at Girl Who Reads.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteHappy birthday ! Weird year, weird birthday date, that's logical. I love those voice-overs by Jane Godley, so funny, and that accent ! It made me think about that (different, but I laughed so much) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbrqdSMY9o4 ;)
ReplyDeleteShe has such a strong accent normally too!
DeleteI hadn't heard of Corporate - will check it out.
ReplyDeleteAdded The Tenant to my wish list.
I’m enjoying The Tenant, I’m looking forward to seeing how it’s going to weave it’s tale!
DeleteI'm sick of Jimmy Krankie whining about her bloody IndyRef 2 when people are dying across Scotland from the virus! Get a grip wummin! I can't wait to get my hands on the paperback of Ready player Two! It makes me want to go and play Pac Man...
ReplyDeleteI love Pac Man, my very first, very old computer had a cartridge of it, I spent hours avoiding those bloody ghosts!
DeleteOh, happy birthday! I'm enjoying Mando and Baby Yoda, too. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Jennifer!
DeleteHappy Birthday, Heather 🥳 and good luck with your return to work! My week was okay, mainly just work with the lockdown, looking forward to a bit more freedom next week. Take care and happy reading - Particularly The Lost and Found Bookshop as I have heard good things about that. 🙂
ReplyDeleteThanks Jessica! Work was lovely, nice to be actually doing something!
DeleteI’m looking forward to Lost and Found, I’ve heard good things too!
Happy birthday! You were born at the end of November and I was born at the beginning. So I'm just about thirty days older than you. Well, and a few months. Like 264 months.
ReplyDeleteExciting to be going to work. I hope it will be a great (and safe) experience.
We are hoping to put up our Christmas things today, too. It will certainly make everything look a little more festive.
Oh, Ready Player Two! And I still need to get to Player One.
Have a great week, Heather.
If you get a chance to read Ready Player One do give it a try, it’s really good. Ready Player Two is very good so far!
DeleteI like being a November baby!
Work has been good, it’s nice to be out and about, a change of scenery!
Happy birthday!!! And yeah we're putting our tree up too. It's time. :)
ReplyDeleteI need to get back to FEAR.
Thanks Greg!
DeleteI’m happy to have the tree up, it’s sparkling makes me happy!

ReplyDeleteNicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction
Thanks Nicole!
DeleteHappy birthday! W don’t normally put our tree up until the first or second week of Christmas but I was so ready for it this year. We out it up Friday and I’m loving it. I’ve actually never seen The Mandalorian but I still loving seeing all the pics of Baby Yoda. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Tanya! I usually wait to the 1st of December but I thought, stuff it I’ll put it up, I’m glad I did!
DeleteBaby Yoda is adorable but he seems to eat everything!
Happy birthday! Congrats on the work! We have yet to start with holiday decorations but my daughter loves them so I need to get on it soon. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteAnne - Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Thanks Anne! Happy decorating!
DeleteHappy birthday! And good luck with your new job!
ReplyDeleteWe love The Mandalorian!
I have friends who put their tree up in October because they wanted something cheerful in 2020. I've ordered a very thin, fairly short tree to fit into our little RV. It's supposed to arrive tomorrow so we should have our decorations up soon too.
I finally got my library card for our new location so I've requested Giant Days Volume 2. Hopefully I'll get it soon. This library has suspended all late fines through the end of the year though, so who knows when it might show back up?
I listened to Welcome to Night Vale last year. It's so quirky! I haven't decided if I'll continue with it. I need to tell my sister about it though. It's the kind of thing she would eat up.
Enjoy your week!
Thanks Jen!
DeleteI’ve seen them up early November but wow, October is early but hey why not, 2020 has been awful and it’s lovely to see the decorations lighting up windows.
I just finished the Giant Days series, I’m going to miss it, maybe they’ll revisit it from a later point in their timeline.
I regularly listened to the podcast but then I got out of the habit, when I saw they had books I thought I’d have a better chance with them. I still hear Cecil’s voice when I read it!
Happy birthday again! You share a birthday with my mom. :) I also laughed at "39 and 36 months."
ReplyDeleteWe put up our decorations last week. Usually I'm a strict "must wait until after Thanksgiving" but this year keeps being the worst so why not.
Happy belated birthday to your Mom!
DeleteIt’s so nice to come home to the lights in the window!
Happy birthday, and good luck with work. I’m hopefully going to put up my Christmas tree soon. Then I have to convince the toddler to leave it alone. Enjoy your new books. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I have to convince my 11 and 13 year olds to stay away from mine, they keep stealing the chocolate decorations!
DeleteI'm loving The Madalorian, Virgin River and Beecham House. Ha, I had to laugh at how you calculated your age. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI will start calculating my age properly one day!!
DeleteHappy Birthday, Heather!
ReplyDeleteThanks Judy!
DeleteI hope you had a happy birthday! We just started the second season of The Mandalorian, too. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Dedra!
