Sophie at Beware of Reader is co hosting the Best Reads of 2020 along with Sophie’s Reading Corner, Read More, Sleep Less, @eliz_white and Under the Covers Book Blog. I fancied giving it a try, why not give it a bash, the posting
schedule is at the bottom. #BestReadsof2020
Best Thriller has to be for me A Song for the Dark Times. It was my
first Rebus book and my first Ian Rankin book. I loved it
because it was an amazing read, I had no idea what was going to
happen. I also loved it because it was set in Scotland, I
could relate very easily to the setting became been to a lot of the
places. You can read my review here.
Thanks, you are the second person to talk to me about Rebus this week, this has to be a sign!!
ReplyDeleteI wait for 2021 to look at my best of the year, and I usually choose 3 books (3 formats: print, ebook, audio) for each genre, I think this one will definitely be part of the three as mystery: https://wordsandpeace.com/2020/10/16/book-review-the-girl-behind-the-wall/
I really enjoyed it and I’m really looking forward to reading from book one!
DeleteI read more thrillers than usual this year, I think. Hard to choose a best but two stand out for me: The Arm of the Starfish by Madeleine L'Engle, because it was an honest to god thriller but for kids, and The Power of the Dog by Don Winslow.
ReplyDeleteI’ve read a lot of thrillers too, I loved it! I’ll check out those two!
DeleteLove when you get a thriller that keeps you guessing!!
