#Blogmas - Best Reads of 2020 - Best Historical

Day 18 of Sophie at Beware of Readers

Best Historical is  ......The Strange Case of the Alchemist’s Daughter, this is as close to historical I got this year!  An entertaining romp set in Victorian times starring the daughters of Jekyll and Hyde on a journey to find out what their fathers where up to.  They are ably helped by Justine Frankenstein, Catherine Moreau and Beatrice Rappaccini, they form the Athena Club.  It is a very enjoyable book which I need to properly review, possibly next year!

  1. I'm pretty sure the first book in this series is lurking on my ereader so hopefully I might eventually get to it!

    1. It’s good, I’ve got the second book recently but I’ll proceed to go back to the start again.
