My Best Fictional World read of 2020 was the world that Jasper Fforde’s Early Riser inhabits. A world where humans hibernate with only the hardiest staying awake to make sure nothing untoward happens whilst everyone sleeps. The world has loads of snow, massive towers called Dormitoriums, nightwalkers who are the unlucky few who have had an adverse affect to the hibernation drug and of course villains! It’s Jasper Fforde, it’s bonkers, it’s charming, I really enjoyed it. Read my review here
