Caught up on Hilda on Netflix? Craving more adventures with your favorite blue-haired Sparrow Scout? This is the book for you! More badges, more thrills, more friends in the newest Hilda illustrated chapter book!

Meet Hilda: explorer, adventurer, avid sketchbook-keeper and friend to every creature in the valley!

Newly initiated into the Sparrow Scouts, Hilda is ready to explore and document the wilderness, and perhaps even make some human friends. Yet as luck would have it, there is a dark, menacing creature afoot near Trolberg, and Hilda is whisked back home to safety. Even so, intrigue seems to follow our blue-haired heroine wherever she goes, and it seems we may finally discover why so many socks in Trolberg seem to lose their mates.
Are you watching Hilda on Netflix? I am and I am enchanted!  I love the Scandi style landscape, the wild forests, the invisible elves and the inquisitive Hilda.

Having watched the TV series I saw this and decided to give it a try, I am most definitely not the target audience but I really enjoyed this story in which Hilda and her best pals Frida and David go camping with the Sparrow Scouts.  There trip to countryside around their hometown of Trolberg is cut short when news of menacing creature comes to their attention.

That is not the only thing that is strange, David has been having very peculiar dreams and Hilda discovers that the everyday objects that have disappeared may have been taken.  Can Hilda and her friends find out what is going on?

It is a lovely story of friendship with a dash of mystery thrown in!  The weird and wonderful creatures that join Hilda are really well done from her “dog” Twig (a deer fox!) to the trolls that roam outside the walls of Trolberg at night time.

Perfect escapism for any age!
