Wondrous Words Wednesday- Archaea

Wondrous Words Wednesday is a weekly meme created by the Bermuda Onion Blog and now hosted at Elza Reads where you can share new words that you’ve encountered, or spotlight words you love!

The word that has caught my eye this week is......

This Fragile Earth is an amazing book, its not out till June and I’m looking forward to sharing my review with you all.  It is set in England, near future where everything is very tech dependent from the water supply to bin collection, it is the perfect society until the tech goes badly wrong.

The word that caught my eye was ARCHAEA.

Definition: UK English (Collins Dictionary)

an order of prokaryotic microorganisms

I don’t think it is a word I will ever use in any shape or form but it’s been placed in my memory bank!

  4. This sounds like a word appropriate to our current pandemic scene somehow. Then again a cell without a nucleus is an intriguing life form. And yes, I am curious about the book.
